After change of the aft brakes a couple of weeks ago, it was time to change the forward ones as well to have a better "braking" experience. The front brakes on a the 2CV are mounted on the engine not on the wheels like on the back or on modern cars.

Some more maintenance for Yasmine, our green 2CV from 1978 and a new DIY project.
The bracket that supports the gearbox in place needed to be changed and we used the occasion for some cleaning the area as well.

Time for some more maintenance of Yasmine our 2CV 6. She passed the technical control for registration without issues but we still had the impression that the brakes would not mind a check and upgrade. Unfortunately her last owner did not leave us any maintenance booklet or reference, so we prefer to DIY and service the brakes.

Finally acquired our "NEW" car. No kidding she is older than any of us. She will need a lot of attention & love, indeed her previous owner was clearly not caring for her and she unfortunately let us down on the side of the road on the way back home. After trying to recover her several time she refused to go any further. At 0100am it was about time to call for assistance. During this laps of time we replaced the carburetor and now it is time to rebuild it. Let's make it new. A project for D.I.Y
